[2023/10/27 16:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: Queen Astrid lifts up the book "Grim Fairy Tales" and starts to read. In that by-now familiar 80s style video transition, you are magickally transported... to what looks like a large wide depression or short ravine, with a stone pillar nearby, large, square, very ruined, a ladder lying down as a crude bridge to a cave opening up high.

[2023/10/27 16:37] Sonja Bikergrrl: It's on top of the pillar, lying across to the cave opening, which is level to the top of the pillar
[2023/10/27 16:38] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: So we'd need to climb the pillar to get up to the rickety path to the cave
[2023/10/27 16:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: Mmhmm
[2023/10/27 16:38] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks to the others."I have an idea. You two crawl across first. I'll hold the end to keep it steady. once at the mouth you two hold it so I can cross"

[2023/10/27 16:40] Sonja Bikergrrl: You hear some stirring from the cave. A few voices shouting, "Hey, you! This goblin land!" "Yes, you go!"
[2023/10/27 16:40] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Well, Debben is decently good at that, she checks she has rope handy, and attempts to climb the pillar (giving it a walk around first)
[2023/10/27 16:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: Might want to deal with the mouthy goblins first

[2023/10/27 16:41] Alicia Frakture: Leesha chuckles."You so far away. How you know we not goblins in disguise?

[2023/10/27 16:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: The two goblins stop. "Hurr! You think we stupid!" "Well, we are stupid." "We not that stupid!" "So how we know they not goblins too?" "Stupid! Of course they not goblins!" "How can tell?" "Because I not stupid!"
[2023/10/27 16:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: Looks like you got them arguing.
[2023/10/27 16:45] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben simply moves to the backside of the pillar out of their view so she can climb up it while they are distracted with arguing.

[2023/10/27 16:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debben easily climbs the pillar. She gets to the top to find the goblins nearly coming to blows. "You want be stupid, not know them goblins?" "You want be stupid, not know them not goblins?" Their hands are resting on the hilts of their swords.
[2023/10/27 16:49] Alicia Frakture: /me leesha watches 100% amazed that this is even kind of working
[2023/10/27 16:50] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: With a quiet smirk, she starts tying the rope to the ladder, making sure the knot is good, and then letting the loose end down for Dhalia and Leesha to follow

[2023/10/27 16:51] Alicia Frakture: Leesha just watches. if they come to fighting it might clear a problem.
[2023/10/27 16:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: The two goblins quickly draw their swords and lunge at each other. "Me show you stupid!" "No, me show YOU stupid!" Both miss. "You too stupid to hit!" "No, YOU too stupid to hit!" Meanwhile, Dahlia climbs up the rope and joins Debben
[2023/10/27 16:53] Alicia Frakture: Leesha whispers up to Debben and Dahlia."Don't do anything let them make another move first."
[2023/10/27 16:53] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: As the goblins seem to be a self-solving problem at this point, Debben simply nods and holds a hand out to Leesha to help pull her up.

[2023/10/27 16:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: The enraged goblins stab at each other again, and one actually kills the other as Leesha climbs up. "See! Stupid! Now you dead!"
[2023/10/27 16:56] Alicia Frakture: Are they standing on the ladder?
[2023/10/27 16:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: The goblin turns to you, and laughs. "Ha! He dead stupid!"
[2023/10/27 16:57] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods."He dead stupid. You right."
[2023/10/27 16:58] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Fancy him not know you not goblins. Me not stupid! Me not dead!"
[2023/10/27 16:58] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "You still alive. That means you are smart goblin," Debben offers.
[2023/10/27 16:58] Sonja Bikergrrl: The goblin puffs out his chest, trying to look impressive. "Me smart!"
[2023/10/27 16:58] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): looks toward the cave opening now and tries to see anything new about now that we are closer
[2023/10/27 16:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: It looks like there is a big cave.
[2023/10/27 17:00] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben pulls up the rope once Leesha is up there with them, and starts heading across the ladder to the cave.
[2023/10/27 17:00] Alicia Frakture: Me shake hand with smart goblin... smarter than us."

[2023/10/27 17:01] Sonja Bikergrrl: The goblin nods to Debben, and shakes Leeshas' hand. "Me smart goblin. And you very big, obvious not goblin! Me guard, make sure no not goblins come."
[2023/10/27 17:02] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods. "You right we not goblins, and you have to make sure NO not goblins come but we... some not goblins. you watch for No not goblins."
[2023/10/27 17:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Yes! Make sure no no not goblins... no? Er... me guard!"
[2023/10/27 17:04] Alicia Frakture: Yes yes, you guard against the No not goblins while the some not goblins go it. You not want to break rules right?"

[2023/10/27 17:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: The goblin looks increasingly confused. "Rules? No rules, only guard!"
[2023/10/27 17:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: (You've already pretty much got past the guy!)
[2023/10/27 17:05] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben is gesturing to Leesha to get her butt up the pillar and across the ladder!
[2023/10/27 17:05] Alicia Frakture: That right you guard against no not goblins and you do great job. Us go in while you guard.
[2023/10/27 17:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: Moving in?
[2023/10/27 17:05] Alicia Frakture: *Oh she si moving as she is improvising*
[2023/10/27 17:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: The cave is quite long; it's probably over 50' in length, ends with a large, discolored rock, blocking passage further in. A sharp, acid-y smell can be picked up coming from the gaps behind it. To one side, a small passage, painted on a wall, in a goblinoid language: "FEED THE MUSHROOMS DAILY BUT DON'T LINGER! THEY DON'T LIKE THAT!" and a crude arrow pointing towards room 3. There’s also childish looking paintings on the wall of angry looking mushrooms chasing after a long eared creature, while two other long-eared things are standing nearby, snickering. And another passage, the other side.
[2023/10/27 17:09] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "What is it that mushrooms would eat? Leavings and nightsoil?"
[2023/10/27 17:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Who are you asking?)
[2023/10/27 17:10] Alicia Frakture: Once we made it past the goblins Leesha is going to collapse to the floor when out of range."If you can't dazzle them with brilliance baffle them with bullshit."

[2023/10/27 17:11] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben double checks their supplies for things that might be tasty to a.... mushroom.
[2023/10/27 17:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: Last round of actions... getting late... Dahlia? And which way you going, into the mushroom area?

[2023/10/27 17:15] Alicia Frakture: We are going deeper I would assume. once inside the collapse happens
[2023/10/27 17:16] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: So there's the boulder and also an entrance to a side cave?
[2023/10/27 17:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: Ahead: a large boulder. Left, a passage. Right, a passage with warnings and a picture of a mushroom. Behind, the way you came in.
[2023/10/27 17:17] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben will peek into the left passage, moving slowly while Leesha is collapsed
[2023/10/27 17:18] Alicia Frakture: Leesha will get to her fet and look to the right
[2023/10/27 17:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me facepalms... to the left... a dark passage.... to the right... a similar dark passage.
[2023/10/27 17:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: Pick one :P
[2023/10/27 17:20] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: The one without a warning seems smarter to check first.
[2023/10/27 17:21] Alicia Frakture: Dont dwarves have darkvision?
[2023/10/27 17:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: okay... this particular corridor reeks of bile. There's large stone slabs covering the floor. The walls look cut from the rock. An old temple? But there's pools of acid on the floor, as if "splashed" from the direction of the statue at the end. The statue is crudely made and of a vaguely threatening humanoid.
[2023/10/27 17:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dwarves do, but I hope you aren't splitting the party...
[2023/10/27 17:23] Alicia Frakture: Was not planning on it but she could see what was down her corridor, and if its the acid, Leesha suggests the other direction
[2023/10/27 17:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: And on the mystery of just what the statue is and what happens next... we'll call that tonights' cliffhanger!
